Oct 1, 2021 Volunteer Spotlight Get to know a little more about this month’s Volunteer Spotlight: Aditee Wadadekar! Where are you from? I was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. I moved to Kansas in 2017 and later moved to Arkansas in 2020. How did you end up in Northwest Arkansas? My husband’s job in Northwest Arkansas got us here. What have you most enjoyed about being a volunteer at Crystal Bridges and/or the Momentary? I have enjoyed my time in the garden and being a Museum Guide. I love interacting with people and helping them, and I thank the Crystal Bridges/Momentary Volunteer Program for helping me do so. What’s your favorite artwork or space at Crystal Bridges and/or the Momentary? My favorite artwork is Julie Mehretu’s Excerpt (suprematist evasion) (2003). My favorite space is the museum itself. What do you do to relax? I go hiking, photograph nature, paint, or read a book. What would an ideal day in Northwest Arkansas look like for you? Arkansas is a nature state, so an ideal day for me would be exploring the Ozarks on a hike. What’s your secret super skill? My secret super skill is perfection and attention to detail. I also love interacting with people, helping them, and knowing more about them. If you had three wishes, what would they be?
